Slice the tomatoes into 12 pieces. Slice the pearl onions into rings. Cut the burger buns in half and toast them cut-side down in a dry pan over medium heat until golden brown.
Heat a dry pan over medium heat, add the bacon slices, season with pepper and sprinkle with sweet paprika. Once the bottom is crispy, flip them. When the other side is also golden brown, remove them to a plate and set aside.
Form 4 patties from the ground beef, matching the size of the buns, then season both sides with salt and pepper. Cook one side of the patties in the leftover bacon fat over medium heat for 3 minutes. Flip them, place a small knob of butter on top of each, and cook for another 2 minutes.
