PREPARING THE BURGER
Slice the spring onion, and finely grate or crush the garlic.
Mix the minced meat with the spring onion, garlic, grated ginger, 5 ml sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties, about 12-15 cm long. Place on a hot grill and cook both sides for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, ensuring the meat remains juicy.
Cut the baguettes in half lengthwise and toast them on the grill, cut-side down. Pile some salad onto the bottom half of the baguette, place the meat patty on top, sprinkle with fresh coriander, then cover with the top half of the baguette.
Chef's tip
For an even more intense flavour, let the meat mixture rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before grilling.
