
Battered Apples with Cinnamon

Preparation method
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Mix the flour with the baking powder. In a larger bowl, beat the eggs, pour in the milk, add the granulated sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt, then mix thoroughly with a hand whisk. While continuously stirring, add the flour mixed with baking powder. Finally, stir in the melted butter and let the batter rest for 10 minutes.
Peel the apples, cut them into eight pieces, and remove their cores. Place the apple slices in a bowl, sprinkle with cinnamon, and toss to combine.
In a saucepan, heat a generous amount of cooking oil over medium heat.
Chef's tip
You can also fry the apples in clarified butter (ghee) for an even more aromatic result.
You can also drizzle the battered apples with maple syrup or warm honey when serving.
