  • 400 g plain flour
  • 50 g finely grated walnuts
  • 50 g finely grated almonds
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g lard
  • 1 egg
  • Vanilla sugar for dusting
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • 100 g sugar

PREPARATION

    Mix the ingredients, then knead a firm dough. Wrap it in cling film and refrigerate overnight.

    Preheat the oven to 160°C. In a bowl, mix the sugar, powdered sugar, and vanilla sugar.

    Cut a piece of dough and roll it out with a rolling pin. Cut small slices from it, roll them into small cylinders, then shape them into small crescents. Bake them in the preheated oven until golden. Immediately after baking, roll the crescents in the sugar mixture.
Tip
Use a walnut and hazelnut mixture. The more walnuts you add, the more distinct the flavor will be. Almonds, on the other hand, soften the taste. Don't forget, you'll also need cling film and baking paper for preparing the walnut snow crescents.
