INGREDIENTS FOR THE DOUGH
- 100 g butter
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 140 g flour
- 3 pcs eggs
- Sunflower oil for frying
INGREDIENTS FOR THE HOT CHOCOLATE
- 200 ml whipping cream
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
Steps
- 1Pour 2.5 dl of water into a medium-sized, thick-bottomed pot, then add the butter, sugar, and salt, and bring the mixture to a boil.
- 2Reduce the heat, add the flour, and immediately start stirring with a wooden spoon. Once the dough forms a ball and coats the bottom and sides of the pot with a thin layer, remove it from the heat.
- 3Add one egg to the mixture and mix well, then repeat this process with the remaining two eggs, one by one.
- 4Fill a piping bag with the dough, attaching a star-shaped nozzle to the end.
- 5Heat the oil in a pan, then use the piping bag to squeeze 10 cm pieces of dough into the hot oil. Fry for 4-5 minutes, turning them occasionally, then remove them with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels.
- 6For the hot chocolate, pour the cream into a saucepan, add the finely broken chocolate, cocoa powder, and sugar, then cook, stirring occasionally, until everything is completely dissolved. Once ready, serve warm with the churros.
