  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 50 g walnuts
  • 140 g all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 teaspoon ground vanilla
  • Pinch of salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground vanilla

    Finely grind the walnuts, then mix them with the powdered sugar, flour, vanilla, and salt.

    Add the diced butter and egg yolk, then work into a smooth and slightly sticky dough.

    Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for 2 hours.

    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with baking paper.

    Roll the dough into two long logs, then cut them into equal pieces with a knife.

    From each piece, roll smaller logs, then shape them into crescent forms.

    Once the entire tray is prepared, place it in the refrigerator for another 10 minutes to firm up.

    Place in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, until the crescents are lightly golden brown.

    Let them cool slightly in the tray, then, while still warm, roll them in the powdered sugar and vanilla mixture.
