Preparation method
Pour the jasmine rice into a saucepan, add the sugar and 350 ml coconut milk.
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to minimum and cook the rice until soft. Stir occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
While cooking, gradually add the remaining coconut milk until the rice is completely soft and has a creamy consistency.
Chef's tip
For an even creamier result, you can use fattier coconut milk.
If you prefer it less sweet, you can substitute sugar with honey or maple syrup when serving.
