Preparation method
Ingredients overview
- 400 g banana (approx. 3 pieces)
- 10 g Dutch cocoa powder (approx. 1 tablespoon)
- 50 ml semi-skimmed milk
- 25 g peanut butter (approx. 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon)
- 1 tablespoon shredded coconut
- 5 g dark chocolate (min. 70%, chopped)
Preparation and Freezing
First, peel 2 medium bananas (approx. 300 g), slice them into thin rounds, then place them in the freezer for at least 4 hours (or even overnight). Set aside the third banana for garnish.
Blending and Serving
Place the frozen banana slices into a high-powered blender. Add the Dutch cocoa powder, milk, and 20 g of peanut butter, then blend until completely smooth and creamy. Spoon the mixture into a bowl.
Slice the reserved fresh banana. Garnish the smoothie in the bowl with shredded coconut, chopped dark chocolate, and the banana slices. Finally, drizzle the remaining 5 g of peanut butter on top and serve immediately.
Chef's tip
For an even creamier texture, use plant-based milk (such as almond or coconut milk) instead of cow's milk.
It's best to freeze bananas when they are ripe and their peels start to brown – this is when they are sweetest!
