Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
Melt the butter in a pan and toast both sides of the bread slices until golden brown. Place the ham and cheese on one toasted slice, then cover with the other slice of bread. Put it in the oven for a short time until the cheese melts nicely.
Meanwhile, heat a little oil in another pan over low heat. Place a metal cooking ring on it, crack the egg into it, and cook until the white is set but the yolk remains runny.
Chef's tip
For preparation, you will need a metal cooking ring with a diameter of 8–10 cm and a non-stick pan.
