INGREDIENTS
- 8.5 dkg whole coffee beans
WHAT ELSE YOU MIGHT NEED
- Milk
- Ice
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1Although many people confuse cold brew with simple iced coffee, the two are completely different, and the latter brings out a whole new taste experience from your favourite coffee. Try it yourself with this simple yet great recipe!
- 2Grind the whole coffee beans coarsely. Make sure not to grind them too finely, as it will be harder to filter later.
- 3In a large jar (this could be a canning jar, for example), mix the ground coffee with 3 cups of water.
- 4Then let it settle for 5 minutes, then stir again.
- 5Seal the jar airtight and place it in the refrigerator for about 18 hours.
- 6After 18 hours, take out a bowl and place a fine-mesh sieve over it. Put a paper coffee filter into the sieve (a kitchen towel or cloth will also work perfectly), then pour in the coffee. Leave it until it drips through.
- 7After filtering, pour the coffee into another airtight jar; it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- 8Serve with plenty of ice, in a 1:1 ratio of water to cold brew. Finally, you can add a little milk to enhance the flavour.
