Preparation and cooking potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into smaller, approximately 2 cm cubes.
Place the potatoes in a medium saucepan, cover with water, salt, and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat, cover, and cook for 15-18 minutes until completely soft.
While the potatoes are cooking, dice the bacon into small cubes. Heat a pan and fry the bacon without additional fat over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until crispy.
Chef's tip
For an even richer flavor, you can mix a little grated cheese into the mashed potatoes before baking.
