Preparation method
In a deep plate, whisk the egg with the coffee and 2 tablespoons of milk. Add the cane sugar and a pinch of salt, then mix thoroughly. Soak the toast bread slices in the mixture, leaving them for about 60-90 seconds per side to absorb the liquid well.
Meanwhile, melt the butter in a medium pan over medium heat.
Place the soaked bread slices in the hot pan and cook both sides for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Set aside the finished French toast.
Chef's tip
For an even more intense flavor experience, you can also use a little rum essence in the cream.
