Preparation and Dough
Measure the flour into a bowl and add a pinch of salt. Add 125 g of soft butter and water, then quickly knead the dough. Wrap it in foil and place it in the refrigerator to rest while you prepare the apples.
Peel the apples, remove their cores, and cut them into quarters.
Caramelization and Baking
For the caramel, melt the remaining 100 g of butter in a pan (or ovenproof dish), then gradually add the sugar. Heat over medium heat until you get a beautiful amber-colored caramel. Be careful not to burn it, as it will become bitter!
Chef's tip
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a little crème fraîche for an authentic French experience!
