Ingredients
- 300 g minced beef
- 120 g feta cheese
- 50 g red onion
- 5 g mint leaves
- 1 pc egg
- 25 g toast bread
- 5 g parsley
- 2 g grated lemon zest
- 5 g dried oregano
- 1 g freshly ground pepper
- 2 g salt
Steps
- 1Cut the cheese into 5 pieces, approximately 6 cm each.
- 2Roughly chop the onion. Finely chop the mint, parsley, and oregano. Place the bread in a bowl and pour 50 ml of water over it. Add the herbs, onion, a pinch of pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt, lemon zest, egg, and minced meat, then mix thoroughly.
- 3Divide the mixture into 6 portions. Form each into a patty, place a stick of cheese in the middle, and roll up the meat like a pancake.
- 4Place the meat on a medium-hot grill and cook each side for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- 5Instead of beef, you can use lamb. The fattier the part of the lamb you use, the more pronounced its flavour will be. Serve with tzatziki, cherry tomatoes, and finely chopped red onion.
