INGREDIENTS
- 1 hamburger bun
- 250 g minced turkey or chicken meat
- 3 slices of tomato
- Half a yellow bell pepper
- 5 slices of cucumber
- A handful of lamb's lettuce
- 1 slice of cheddar cheese
- 3 tablespoons of ketchup
- 1 hard-boiled egg
- 1 black olive
- Salt
- Pepper
WHAT ELSE YOU'LL NEED
- 2 skewer sticks
PREPARATION
- 1Cut the hamburger bun in half and toast both sides without oil until golden brown.
- 2Mix the minced meat with salt and pepper and divide it into two portions. Form two meatballs, gently press them flat, and make a small indentation in the center of each. Cook the meat in a pan with a little hot olive oil for about 5-6 minutes per side.
- 3Starting from left to right, cut triangular pieces from the cheese, gradually decreasing then increasing in size, to resemble teeth.
- 4Slice the bell pepper and cut the olive in half.
- 5To assemble the Monster Burger, spread 1 tablespoon of ketchup on the bottom half of the bun. Add a handful of lamb's lettuce, the tomato slices, and a few slices of bell pepper. Spread another 1 tablespoon of ketchup. Place one meat patty on top, then another bell pepper slice and lamb's lettuce, followed by the cucumber slices. Place the other meat patty and the cheese on top, then spread with the remaining ketchup, and finally cover with the top half of the bun.
- 6Halve the hard-boiled egg lengthwise, remove the yolk, and place the olive halves in the yolk's place. Skewer the eggs with the olive in the center onto a skewer stick to keep them together. Insert them into the top of the burger to form the Monster Burger's eyes.
Tip
If you want a slightly scarier-looking Monster Burger, add a little ketchup to the bottom and center of the halved olive.
