Ingredients
- 500 g pork neck
- 200 g beef neck
- 200 g Gouda cheese
- 20 g milk powder
- 160 ml milk
- 6 pcs eggs
- 100 g kifli rolls
- 100 g plain flour for coating
- 150 g breadcrumbs for coating
- 100 g lard for frying
- 2 g pepper
- 10 g salt
Steps
- 1Preheat the oven to 170˚C.
- 2Cut the kifli rolls into 2 cm cubes and place them in a bowl. Pour the milk over them, mix, and let stand for 30 minutes. Grate Gouda cheese over them.
- 3Grind the meat coarsely. In a bowl, mix it with the milk, add 2 eggs, salt, pepper, some grated cheese, and the milk powder. Mix thoroughly. Divide the meat into 8 portions, then form them into 2 cm thick patties by hand.
- 4Whisk the remaining eggs in a bowl.
- 5Coat the meat patties in plain flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
- 6In a pan, heat a generous amount of lard over medium heat, then fry the meat patties until golden brown on both sides. The lard should cover two-thirds of the patties' height.
- 7Place the fried patties on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
- 8First, prepare and fry just one meat patty in a pan with 1 tablespoon of oil. Let it cool slightly, then taste it. This way, you can determine if the meat is seasoned enough.
