Preparation method
Wash the oranges thoroughly, then blanch them three times with boiling water. This helps remove impurities and releases the essential oils from the peel.
Finely grate the zest of both oranges, then squeeze out their juice. Put the orange juice, zest, and granulated sugar into a saucepan, bring to a boil, then simmer on low heat, stirring constantly, until slightly syrupy. Remove from heat.
Stir the remaining ingredients (sour cream, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar) into the still warm syrup. Pour the mixture into a sealable container and let it cool completely, then refrigerate overnight.
Chef's tip
Use sour cream with a higher fat content (at least 20%) for a creamier result.
