Preparation
The ingredients for the filling must be at room temperature. Take the eggs and cream cheese out of the refrigerator at least 1 hour before you start baking.
Thoroughly grease a 24 cm diameter springform pan with melted butter. It's advisable to line the bottom with baking paper for easier removal. Since we will be baking it in a water bath, tightly wrap the outside of the pan with two layers of strong aluminum foil to prevent water from seeping in.
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius (top and bottom heat, without convection).
Chef's tip
The cake can be sliced most beautifully with a knife dipped in hot water and then wiped dry. If the top cracks, decorate it with fruits or whipped cream!
