Preparation and Baking the Sponge Cake
Line a bowl with several layers of cling film. Spoon in the vanilla ice cream (if it's too hard, let it soften for a few minutes, but don't let it melt). Cover the top with film as well and return it to the freezer until completely firm.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grease a cake tin and line the bottom with baking paper.
Melt the dark chocolate over a bain-marie, then remove from heat and let it cool.
