A hagyományos zalai szilvás kukoricaprósza az ősz egyik legfinomabb, legillatosabb népi édessége. A kukoricadara, natúr joghurt és selymes tejföl keverékéből sütött lágy prószatésztát friss, zamatos szilvaszemekkel és egy leheletnyi fahéjjal bolondítjuk meg. A szélei aranybarnára és ropogósra sülnek, a belseje krémesen puha marad – igazi nosztalgikus finomság az egész családnak.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (conventional top and bottom heat). Grease a medium baking dish (approx. 22x32 cm) with a little butter or line it with parchment paper.
Wash the fresh plums thoroughly, pat them dry, halve them, and remove the pits. Set the plum halves aside.
In a bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, and a pinch of salt.
Chef's tip
The real secret to cornmeal prósza is resting: during the 10-15 minutes, the grains absorb the yogurt and sour cream, ensuring that after baking, the inside will not be dry or hard, but remain soft and creamy.
If the plums are on the tarter side, you can also sprinkle the surface of the fruit with a spoonful of brown sugar or drizzle with honey alongside the cinnamon before baking for an even more caramelized flavor.
