Preparation method
Peel and grate the apples. Squeeze out any excess juice so it doesn't soak the pastry.
Add the granulated sugar, cinnamon sugar, raisins, and ground cinnamon to the grated apples, then mix thoroughly.
Unroll the puff pastry sheets and spread the apple filling evenly over them.
Chef's tip
If you want an even crispier result, sprinkle a little breadcrumbs on the pastry under the apple mounds; this will absorb any remaining moisture.
