  • 60 ml milk
  • 50 g butter
  • 10 g vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • Quarter teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of grated nutmeg
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling

    In a bowl, whisk the egg with milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and vanilla sugar.

    Heat the butter in a pan over medium heat.

    Place the toast slices into the egg mixture and let them soak it up. Fry both sides of the French toast until golden brown in the butter.

    Sprinkle the fried French toast with powdered sugar. Garnish with fruit and fresh mint leaves to taste.
Tip
Fresh fruit is ideal for serving. Put two slices of bread together with a thick layer of jam in the middle, then soak both slices together in the egg mixture. The result is a sweet sandwich. Drizzle the finished French toast with maple syrup.
