Kifli Kukták
Pihe-puha, hagyományos magyar kelt sütemény lédús, fahéjas párolt almával töltve, aranybarnára sütve és porcukorral hintve. Igazi békebeli őszi finomság a vasárnapi asztalra.
Preparation method
In the lukewarm milk, stir in 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar, crumble in the fresh yeast, and leave it in a warm place for 10-15 minutes until frothy.
Sift the fine wheat flour into a large bowl, add half of the granulated sugar (approx. 50 grams), a pinch of fine salt, the grated lemon zest, 1 whole egg, the activated yeast milk mixture, and 60 g of melted butter. Knead into a soft, elastic dough with a smooth, glossy surface.
Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 45-50 minutes, until it doubles in size.
Chef's tip
Be sure to let the stewed apple filling cool completely before spooning it onto the yeast dough, otherwise the warm fruit will make the dough soggy.
Thoroughly brush the sides of the buns with melted butter when placing them in the baking dish, so the individual pieces can be easily pulled apart without tearing after baking.
