Kifli Kukták
A hagyományos magyar konyha egyik legkedvesebb őszi édessége, a máglyarakás szilvás változata. A vaníliás tejben áztatott kiflikarikák szaftos szilvával, házi baracklekvárral és illatos dióval rétegezve sülnek tökéletesre, a tetejét pedig aranybarnára pirult, habkönnyű tojáshab koronázza.
Preparation method
Preparation
Cut the crescent rolls into approx. 1 cm thick slices. Wash the plums, pit them, and cut them into wedges or thin slices. Mix them with the ground cinnamon and half of the vanilla sugar (10 g). Finely chop or grind the walnuts.
Separate the eggs. Whisk the egg yolks until foamy with the remaining half of the vanilla sugar (10 g), 40 g of granulated sugar, and 30 g of soft butter, then gradually pour in the lukewarm milk and stir until smooth.
Layering and pre-baking
Grease a medium-sized baking tray or heatproof dish with the remaining 20 g of butter. Toss the crescent roll slices in the milk and egg yolk mixture so they soak it up well, but do not become completely soggy.
Chef's tip
Tip: If you make it with slightly stale, 1-2 day old crescent rolls, they will absorb the vanilla milk better without turning mushy.
Serving suggestion: Serve lukewarm; you can dust a touch of powdered sugar on top or serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
