- 300 ml plant-based drink (e.g., almond or oat drink)
- 70 g 70% dark chocolate
- 10 g cocoa powder
- 1 whole cinnamon stick
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- ¼ vanilla bean
- 1 pinch of ground chili (to taste)
Pour the plant-based drink into a small saucepan. Add the halved vanilla bean and the whole cinnamon stick. Heat to boiling point, then remove from heat and let the spices infuse in the milk for about 25 minutes to release their aromas.
After resting, remove the cinnamon and vanilla bean. Reheat the milk, then add the finely chopped dark chocolate, cocoa powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth, until the chocolate is completely melted.
For an even creamier and frothier consistency, you can blend the drink with an immersion blender. Finally, add a pinch of ground chili to taste for a spicier flavor, and serve hot.
Chef's tip
When serving, you can garnish with vegan whipped cream or a little grated dark chocolate.
