INGREDIENTS
- 110 g soft butter
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 50 g walnuts
- 140 g all-purpose flour
- 1/3 teaspoon ground vanilla
- Pinch of salt
INGREDIENTS FOR COATING
- 70 g powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground vanilla
PREPARATION
- 1Finely grind the walnuts, then mix them with the powdered sugar, flour, vanilla, and salt.
- 2Add the diced butter and egg yolk, then work into a smooth and slightly sticky dough.
- 3Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- 4Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 5Roll the dough into two long logs, then cut them into equal pieces with a knife.
- 6From each piece, roll smaller logs, then shape them into crescent forms.
- 7Once the entire tray is prepared, place it in the refrigerator for another 10 minutes to firm up.
- 8Place in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, until the crescents are lightly golden brown.
- 9Let them cool slightly in the tray, then, while still warm, roll them in the powdered sugar and vanilla mixture.
- 10If the crescents break, let them cool a bit longer before coating. Enjoy your meal!
