- 140 g carrot
- 80 g cream cheese
- 100 g cottage cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 4 slices whole wheat toast bread
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 slices lemon
Clean the carrots, then grate them finely. In a bowl, mix the grated carrots, cream cheese, cottage cheese, and lemon juice. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
Cut circles from the toast bread slices using a cookie cutter or a glass. Spread them generously with the carrot cream.
Decorate the canapés with sesame seeds and small lemon slices for a refreshing taste. Serve fresh.
Chef's tip
Do not throw away the leftover edges of the toast bread; dry them and grind them into breadcrumbs, or make croutons for soup.
