INGREDIENTS

  • 4 large peaches
  • 340 g bacon (approx. 12 slices)
  • Basil
  • Balsamic Glaze
  • Extra virgin olive oil

PREPARATION

  • 1
Set the grill to low heat and preheat for about 10 minutes.
  • 2
Dip a paper towel in a little grapeseed oil (or other neutral oil) and grease the grill grates with it.
  • 3
Wash and dry the peaches. Cut them in half, then cut each half peach into four pieces (this will result in 8 slices from one peach).
  • 4
Place a large basil leaf on both sides of each peach slice.
  • 5
Cut the bacon slices in half. Wrap each peach slice with half a slice of bacon, ensuring the basil leaves are inside. Secure the end of the bacon with a toothpick.
  • 6
Lightly brush the bacon-wrapped peach slices with olive oil to prevent them from sticking to the grill.
  • 7
Place them on the grill and cook for about 20 minutes, until the bacon is nicely cooked through. Turn them occasionally to ensure all sides brown evenly.
  • 8
When done, transfer them to a serving platter and remove the toothpicks.
  • 9
    Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  • 10
Serve warm or at room temperature.
