Preparation method
Ingredients overview
- 2 pcs pizza dough (approx. 280 g each)
- 200 g Brie cheese
- 2 pcs pear
- 1 handful pecans
- 4 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons cranberry preserve or sauce
- 1 handful dried cranberries
- a few sprigs fresh thyme
Cut out smaller circles from the pizza dough using a glass or a cookie cutter. Place the circles on a baking tray lined with baking paper and pre-bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 10 minutes, until golden brown.
Slice the pears. Heat the maple syrup in a pan, then cook the pear slices in it for 1-2 minutes per side. Add the pecans and let them caramelize nicely.
Place a slice of Brie cheese, a slice of caramelized pear, and a pecan on each pre-baked dough circle. Return to the oven for another 5-7 minutes, until the cheese melts. When serving, garnish with cranberry preserve, dried cranberries, and fresh thyme.
