Preparation method
Divide the puff pastry into two equal parts and roll it out. Cut both parts into squares of different sizes (from largest to smallest) to layer the Christmas trees. From 300 g of dough, you will get approximately 4x7 squares.
On each pastry square (except for the last, smallest one), place a piece of prosciutto, a little Emmental cheese, and a small amount of red pesto.
Layer the squares on top of each other, placing each level perpendicularly (rotated) to the previous one. Secure the layers in the middle with a skewer or kebab stick.
Chef's tip
You can stick a small cheese star or an olive on top of the sticks for an even more festive appearance.
