
Spinach and Halloumi Savory Roll with Prosciutto

Preparation method
Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangular shape (or use pre-rolled pastry). With a pizza cutter, cut the two longer sides of the pastry into strips of approx. 2 cm at a 45-degree angle, making sure that a continuous strip of approx. 10 cm wide remains in the middle.
Place the baby spinach on the middle strip, then lightly salt and pepper it. On top of this, pile the diced halloumi cheese, quickly fried until golden in a pan, the pine nuts, and the slices of prosciutto crudo.
Fold the pastry strips over each other from both sides (as if braiding) to enclose the filling. Brush the finished roll with the beaten egg and sprinkle the top again with a little pepper.
Chef's tip
Before serving, let it cool for a few minutes so that the cheese sets slightly, making it easier to slice.
