
Classic Tomato Salad

- 2 medium tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
- 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
In a bowl, mix the dressing ingredients: white wine vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Add about 50 ml of water and stir until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.
Wash the tomatoes and cut them into cubes or wedges as desired. Add them to the dressing along with the finely chopped red onion and chopped parsley.
Finally, drizzle with sunflower oil and gently toss. Before serving, it's worth chilling for 10-15 minutes for the flavors to meld.
Chef's tip
The salad can be served immediately, but it's even more refreshing when chilled. It's an excellent accompaniment to fried meats or paprika potatoes.
