Preparation method
In a large pot, bring 2 liters of water to a boil for cooking the pasta. Meanwhile, wash and halve the cherry tomatoes. Dice the mozzarella, and roughly chop the fresh basil. Place all of these in a large bowl.
When the water starts to boil, salt it, add the pasta, and cook on medium heat for 10–13 minutes (or for the time indicated on the package).
Drain the cooked pasta, cool it with cold water, then add it to the other ingredients in the bowl along with the mayonnaise, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly, and place in the refrigerator for at least 45 minutes for the flavors to meld.
Chef's tip
The salad will be even more delicious if you drizzle it with a little extra virgin olive oil before serving.
