Preparation method
In a large pot, bring a generous amount of salted water to a boil for cooking the pasta. Once the water boils, add the whole wheat pasta and cook according to package directions (approx. 17–18 minutes) until al dente.
While the pasta is cooking, prepare the chicken: cut the chicken breast fillet into small cubes. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken breast cubes, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5–6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Then transfer the meat to a large salad bowl.
Drain the cooked pasta and rinse thoroughly with cold running water to cool it down.
Chef's tip
You can make the salad even more filling by adding a little crumbled feta cheese or toasted pine nuts on top.
