Preparation method
First, prepare the vegetables. Wash the iceberg lettuce and cut it into thin strips. Peel the onion, then slice it thinly along with the tomatoes.
Prepare the dressing: Peel and finely chop the fresh garlic, and dice the gherkins into small cubes. Place them in a small bowl, add the ketchup, natural yogurt, Dijon mustard, pickle juice (approx. 30 ml), a pinch of salt and pepper, then mix thoroughly. Set the dressing aside.
Cook the meat: Heat the sunflower oil in a medium pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef and sauté for 7–8 minutes. While cooking, break up the meat with a wooden spoon to prevent it from clumping into larger pieces. Then sprinkle with paprika, garlic granules, a pinch of salt and pepper, mix, and sauté for another 2 minutes. Then remove from heat.
Chef's tip
For an even more authentic burger experience, you can sprinkle some grated cheddar cheese on top!
