PREPARATION AND MAKING THE MEAT BASE
Cut the red onion, carrot, celery stalk, and garlic into small cubes, about 3 mm.
Heat half of the oil in a pot, add the chopped carrot and celery stalk, then sauté for 2 minutes until golden brown. Then add the red onion and garlic, and sauté for another 2 minutes.
Add the minced beef and pork, salt, pepper, bay leaf, and three-quarters of the oregano and thyme. Sauté for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour in the white wine and cook for another 1 minute.
Chef's tip
When serving, you can offer fresh baguette or a light green salad. You can also sprinkle a little grated cheese on top of the stuffed vegetables during the last 10 minutes for an even richer flavor.
