INGREDIENTS

  • 200 g plant-based gyros strips (seitan or soy-based)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ red onion
  • 1 pc tomato
  • ¼ cucumber
  • ½ small head of lettuce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 pcs pita bread

INGREDIENTS FOR THE SAUCE

  • 100 g plant-based yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill
  • Salt to taste

    Pita: Heat the pita breads in a pan or oven for 2–3 minutes.

    Vegetables: Slice the onion thinly, dice the tomato and cucumber, and tear the lettuce.

    Gyros: Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the plant-based gyros strips. Season with oregano and paprika, then stir-fry for 5–6 minutes until crispy.

    Sauce: In a bowl, mix all the sauce ingredients until smooth.

    Assembly: Spread the yogurt sauce inside each warm pita, then add lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and the gyros strips.
