Ez a tradicionális indiai chana masala egy igazi ízbomba, amely kevesebb mint 40 perc alatt elkészül. Peel and finely chop the red onion and garlic. Peel the ginger (the easiest way is to scrape off the skin with the edge of a spoon) and cut it into thin strips. Roughly blend the tomatoes or cut them into small cubes.

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a deep pan. Add the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger, then sauté over medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Then sprinkle in the garam masala, ground coriander, cumin, and paprika. Sauté for another 30-60 seconds until the aromas are released.

Pour 400 ml of water into the pan, add the drained chickpeas and tomatoes. Stir, reduce the heat, and cook for 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens. Meanwhile, finely chop the parsley.

Chef's tip

The plain yogurt (3.5%) served with the masala perfectly balances the intensity of the spices.
