Preparing the Rice
First, prepare the rice: Rinse the rice under cold water, place it in a pot, pour in 350 ml of water, and bring to a boil over high heat. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for 15 minutes.
Once the rice is cooked, remove it from the heat, stir in the vinegar and brown sugar. Cover again and let it rest for another 5-10 minutes.
Preparing the Vegetables
While the rice is resting, prepare the vegetables: Slice the cucumber and peeled carrots thinly. Peel the avocado, remove the pit, and slice it as well. Finely chop the spring onion.
Chef's tip
Before serving, you can also garnish the bowl with any sprouts or sesame seeds.
