Ingredients

  • 500 g minced turkey meat
  • 1 pc egg (size M)
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • 15 g tomato paste
  • 80 g gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 80 g carrot
  • 80 g red onion
  • 700 g potato (type B)
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 150 ml water

    Preheat the oven to 190–195 °C and prepare a baking tray (approx. 30 cm × 40 cm).

    In a large bowl, combine the minced meat, egg, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, tomato paste, and breadcrumbs. Add the grated carrot and finely chopped onion, then thoroughly knead the mixture until it is well-formable. Shape it into an oval loaf approximately 25 cm long and 10 cm high, and place it on the prepared baking tray.

    Cut the potatoes into small cubes (approx. 1.5 cm × 1.5 cm) and arrange them around the meatloaf on the baking tray. Pour water underneath, place in the oven, and bake for 50–55 minutes at 190–195 °C.

    Finally, remove the baking tray from the oven, divide the dish into portions, and serve sprinkled with fresh chives.
