Preparation method
Preheat the oven to 200 °C and prepare a baking sheet. Mix the strained tomatoes with dried oregano, crushed garlic, and a pinch of salt. Slice the zucchini into thin rounds using a sharp knife or mandoline.
Unroll the puff pastry onto the baking sheet with the baking paper. Spread the seasoned tomato sauce over it, leaving about a 1 cm strip free around the edges. Drain the mozzarella, tear it into smaller pieces, and distribute it evenly over the pastry. Arrange the zucchini slices on top, slightly overlapping them.
Drizzle the zucchini with olive oil and spread it with a brush, then season with salt and pepper to taste. In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush it over the free edges of the pie.
Chef's tip
When serving, you can sprinkle with fresh basil or a little grated Parmesan for an even more intense flavor.
