Ingredients overview
- 2 pcs pizza dough (approx. 280 g/pc)
- 200 g canned peeled tomatoes
- 100 g sour cream (20%) or crème fraîche
- 100 g sliced prosciutto crudo ham
- 125 g mozzarella cheese ball
- 1 pc red onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp Provence herb mix
- 1 handful pitted black olives
- 1 handful fresh basil for garnish
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
Finely chop the red onion and sauté it in one tablespoon of olive oil until translucent. Add the crushed garlic and fry briefly together. Pour in the peeled tomatoes, sprinkle with Provence herb mix, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes, until the excess liquid evaporates and the sauce thickens.
Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream (or crème fraîche). Purée the mixture with an immersion blender until creamy. Spread the sauce over the pizza bases, lay the prosciutto slices on top, then arrange the sliced mozzarella balls. Use olives to create ghost faces on the mozzarella, and also make spiders from them on the rest of the pizza.
Place the pizzas in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the edges of the dough are golden brown. Garnish with fresh basil when serving, and you can lightly brush the edges of the dough with olive oil for a shinier effect.
