INGREDIENTS
- 20 ml whipped cream
- 10 g (2 teaspoons) brown sugar
- 30 ml Irish (not Scotch) whiskey
- Half a cup of brewed coffee
PREPARATION
- 1Brew the coffee in your preferred way.
- 2Take a stemmed glass, warm it with hot water, then pour out the water.
- 3First, pour the whiskey into the glass, then add the coffee and mix them well. It's advisable to leave at least 1 cm of space at the top of the glass for the cream.
- 4Add the sugar and stir the drink until it completely dissolves, as this will help the cream stay on top of the coffee.
- 5Place a teaspoon on top of the coffee's surface. Then, carefully pour the cream onto the spoon, so it stays on top of the coffee.
- 6Remove the spoon, and the drink is ready to serve. The correct way to drink Irish coffee is to sip the drink through the foam, without mixing it at all.
