Preheat the oven to 200/180 °C (fan / gas mark 6).

Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the bacon slices on it. Cover with another sheet of baking paper and place another baking tray on top as a weight. Bake at 200 °C for 15 minutes.

Remove the top baking tray and paper, then bake for another 3–5 minutes until the bacon is nicely browned and crispy.
Chef's tip
It's worth twisting the noodles a bit before placing them in the bun, so the sauce doesn't soak the pastry.
Do not press the buns too hard when filling them, to maintain their shape.
