- 500 g ground pork and beef mix
- 10 stalks lemongrass
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 teaspoons cane sugar
- 1 bunch fresh coriander
- 1 handful chopped shallot
Place the minced meat in a bowl, add the grated garlic, chopped coriander, sugar, fish sauce, and soy sauce. Knead everything thoroughly with your fingers so that the flavors fully penetrate the meat.
Divide the meat mixture into 10 equal portions. Prick the lower third of the lemongrass stalks in a few places with a knife (to release the aromas better), then, with slightly damp hands, form the seasoned meat around the stalks, as if making small skewers.
Grill the meat skewers on all sides until golden brown and cooked through. Serve with fresh vegetables or an Asian dipping sauce.
