Házias, illatos magyar klasszikus új köntösben: a vajpuha burgonyarétegek szaftos, füstölt szalonnás, paprikás-paradicsomos lecsóval és olvasztott aranybarna sajttal sülnek tökéletesre. Igazi melengető, zöldségekben gazdag őszi egytálétel.
Preparation method
Preparation
Wash the potatoes, then parboil them in their skins in lightly salted water for 15-20 minutes until half tender. Allow to cool slightly, peel, and cut into half-centimeter thick slices.
Slice the onion thinly into half-moons, crush the garlic, slice the TV pepper into rings, dice the tomatoes, and cut the smoked bacon into small cubes. Pre-heat the oven to 190 °C.
Making the juicy lecsó
In a deep pan, melt the lard, add the diced bacon, and fry over medium heat until crispy.
Chef's tip
It is best to boil the potatoes until only half tender so they can absorb the flavorful lecsó juices in the oven without falling apart.
If you want an even heartier dish, you can also slice some smoked sausage into the lecsó.
