Hard-boil 4 eggs (approx. 9-10 minutes from boiling), then cool them in cold water and peel them.
Tear the bread roll into smaller pieces and soak in the milk until completely softened, then thoroughly squeeze out the excess milk.
Finely chop the onion and crush the garlic. Sauté the onion in the lard until translucent, then add the garlic for half a minute at the end, and leave to cool.
Chef's tip
It is worth working the meat mixture thoroughly so the meatloaf does not crack while baking.
If you like bolder flavors, you can also add a pinch of smoked paprika to the meat mixture.
