Preparation method
In a bowl, mix the wholemeal spelt flour, cottage cheese, egg, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Knead the dough thoroughly by hand until all ingredients are well combined.
Let the prepared dough rest in the bowl for 10–15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 170 °C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
From the rested dough, form 4 equally sized buns and place them on the prepared baking tray. Put the tray into the preheated oven and bake the buns for 30–35 minutes at 165–170 °C. The finished buns should be golden brown on top and soft to the touch.
