Preheat the oven to 230 °C and prepare a baking tray, lining it with baking paper.
Place all ingredients in a large bowl, mix them together, and gently work them just enough for the ingredients to combine, but the dough should remain slightly lumpy. Be careful not to overwork the dough.
Transfer the dough to the lined baking tray and shape it into a round, flatter loaf, approximately 15 cm in diameter and 6 cm high. On top of the loaf, make two deep cross-shaped cuts with a knife.
Chef's tip
The bread is ready when it sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom. If you want a richer flavor, you can use buttermilk instead of milk.
