  • 230 g Fine wheat flour
  • 6 g Baking powder
  • 80 g Butter
  • 130 ml Milk
  • 50 g Strawberry jam
  • 1 g Salt
  • 30 g Granulated sugar

    Preheat the oven to 220°C.

    Pour the flour into the food processor bowl, add the sugar, baking powder, and salt. Start working the dough with a dough hook on medium speed. Dice the butter and gradually add it to the dough while mixing until all of it is incorporated. The dough will look like coarse breadcrumbs at this stage and will not have come together yet. Reduce the food processor speed and slowly add the lukewarm milk until the dough comes together.

    Flour the rolling pin, then roll out the dough to 0.5 cm thickness. Cut out round shapes with a cookie cutter. Re-work the remaining dough, then roll it out and cut out more scones.

    Place the cut-out scones on a baking tray lined with baking paper, then put them into the preheated oven. The scones will bake until golden brown in 12 minutes.

    Let the finished scones cool. Serve with strawberry jam and unsalted butter.

    Use a 6 cm diameter cookie cutter for the scones.
